- For eight years, the PAR Ranking, led by the consulting firm Aequales in Latin America, has recognized companies in Colombia and Latin America that develop practices, policies, and processes in favor of gender equity and inclusion.
As part of its commitment to creating an inclusive work environment that values and respects diversity, Grupo Argos was recognized among the most equitable companies in Colombia by the PAR Ranking. In this edition, which took place during International Women’s Day, Grupo Argos ranked second out of 710 companies from countries such as Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, and 45 others that participated in this measurement, which evaluates companies’ processes and practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Currently, 43% of the Board of Directors of Grupo Argos is made up of women, including its president. Additionally, today 50% of the company’s team is composed of women, while participation for the Grupo Empresarial Argos amounts to 24%. In Cementos Argos, 30% of leadership roles are held by women; additionally, the company has 72 mixer drivers and 160 women in roles traditionally performed by men such as maintenance officers, laboratory technicians, scale operators, among others. Finally, Celsia, a Grupo Argos energy company, stands out for having equitable selection processes focused on people’s experience and knowledge, as well as for promoting the development and training of women in roles within the electrical industry; it is currently training 49 women in industrial electricity.

Since 2017, the Grupo Empresarial Argos formed the Diversity and Inclusion Committee to share and align best practices in diversity and build a strategy for strengthening it within the organization. As part of the process, the company actively identifies women who are part of its succession matrix for critical positions and accompanies them in their training process. To date, more than 100 women in the Grupo Empresarial Argos have participated in equity leadership programs with universities such as Berkeley and Harvard.
The PAR Ranking is led by the consulting firm Aequales, which accompanies companies in developing and strengthening their path towards gender equity and corporate diversity. This ranking evaluates and recognizes good practices for promoting equity in public and private organizations in objective management, organizational culture, organizational structure, gender and diversity, and talent management. This is the second year in which Grupo Argos has been recognized by this measurement in the top 10 companies in Colombia with the best gender equity practices.
