More than 500 partners of Grupo Empresarial Argos were trained in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • For the second consecutive year, the organization held the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit, an event designed for the various partners of Grupo Empresarial Argos, aimed at further strengthening processes and relationships within its value chain from a diverse and inclusive perspective.
  • The event featured the participation of renowned business leaders such as Andrés Aguirre, Felipe Cárdenas, and Mariángela Urbina, among others.
  • Topics discussed during the summit included inclusive hiring, sexual diversity in the workplace, and diversity as a driver of economic value generation for businesses.

In line with a 90-year business vision that emphasizes the creation of well-being and comprehensive value for all its stakeholders, and with the objective of further strengthening its value chain, Grupo Empresarial Argos held the 2nd Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit—a space for reflection and training that highlighted diversity as a competitive advantage for organizations.

The event’s agenda, which gathered over 500 participants, featured renowned business leaders such as Carolina Salazar from the International Finance Corporation, Andrés Aguirre, former director of Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, Felipe Cárdenas, CEO of the Diversity Chamber of Commerce, journalist and writer Mariángela Urbina, Liseth Beltrán, Deputy Director of Fundación ANDI, and Melisa Gómez, Software Engineering Manager at The Walt Disney Company.

Additionally, some of Grupo Empresarial Argos’ partners, such as Capital and ParaConstruir, shared their success stories in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Key topics discussed during the event included diversity, equity, and inclusion as a driver of economic value generation, inclusive hiring, sexual diversity in the workplace, the new Workplace Sexual Harassment Law, and empathy as the foundation of diversity.

The event concluded with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Awards, which recognized the progress of 11 partners of Grupo Empresarial Argos for their concrete actions in promoting diversity within their organizations.
