- Cementos Argos ranked second and achieved the highest score in the index on sustainable construction, climate change strategy and environmental reporting, among others.
- Celsia, the energy company of Grupo Argos, also stood out and ranked second in the electricity industry for the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) – Pacific Alliance and seventh place among the most sustainable electricity companies globally.
- This is the third consecutive time that Grupo Argos is recognized as the most sustainable in the world in the construction materials industry.
Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos and Celsia consolidated themselves as global leaders in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, according to the most recent report of this measurement. Grupo Argos was ratified for the third consecutive year as the most sustainable in the world in the construction materials industry, a scale in which Cementos Argos took second place this year. For its part, Celsia ranked second in the measurement of the MILA index, which recognizes companies with best practices in Chile, Peru, Mexico and Colombia.
For their outstanding performance, Grupo Argos and Cementos Argos entered for the seventh consecutive year as members of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index – World DJSI, a group that highlights companies with the best global practices in economic matters , environmental and social among companies registered in stock markets.
This edition of the Index, which is a global benchmark for sustainability, is made up of 318 companies and allows identifying the companies that carry out an outstanding and integral management of their businesses, which represents a management focused on the creation of value in the long term .

Cementos Argos: due to the responsible practices applied, it obtained the highest possible rating in variables such as: sustainable construction, environmental reporting, biodiversity, climate change strategy, water resource management, social reporting, corporate citizenship and philanthropy, materiality, risks and management of crisis, and tax strategy.
Celsia: the efforts to advance in the implementation of renewable energies, led to obtain outstanding scores in innovation, materiality, environmental reporting, water, social and risk management.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index evaluates the leading companies of 58 economic sectors in 27 countries, in collaboration with the SAM firm, based on sustainability criteria. It was born in 1999 and since then it has contributed to consolidate a strategic vision around sustainable development, becoming an important reference for investors in the world.
In 2019, more than 3,500 companies in the world were invited to participate, of which only 318 were selected as members of the global DJSI.
