Grupo Argos is ranked among the top 10 most transformative, innovative, and sustainable companies in Colombia, according to Change Makers

• The company stood out by securing the 7th position in the ranking, which evaluates companies and their executives based on their performance in areas such as innovation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and work-life balance for their employees.
• The study also recognizes leaders driving change in the country, placing Jorge Mario Velásquez, President of Grupo Argos, in 5th position among more than 100 business leaders.
• The Change Makers ranking is conducted by the Argentine firm Horse, using information gathered through Big Data from media outlets and digital conversations between August 2023 and August 2024.

The Change Makers ranking recognizes the ability of companies to go beyond their operational and financial roles by promoting the adoption of responsible, transparent, and sustainable leadership models, as well as the leaders who make this possible.

Grupo Argos stood out by securing the 7th position among the most transformative organizations in the country and ranked first in the financial sector. This achievement is the result of an integral value generation approach that has enabled the company to establish itself as a key infrastructure asset manager in the Americas over its 90-year history. Today, Grupo Argos is positioned as the leading Colombian investor in the United States, a leader in the construction materials business through Cementos Argos, a driver of energy transition through Celsia, and a key concession manager for Colombia, with projects such as El Dorado Airport and the Aburrá Oriente Tunnel concession.

Additionally, Jorge Mario Velásquez, President of Grupo Argos, was recognized as the fifth most influential executive in Colombia. This recognition is due not only to his leadership in initiatives that generate value and promote sustainability, innovation, and social development, but also to the level of influence and recognition he has achieved among the organization’s various stakeholders.

• For 12 consecutive years, the companies of Grupo Empresarial Argos have been recognized for their performance and management of environmental, social, and corporate governance matters among more than 3,500 companies worldwide. The latest assessment conducted by S&P Global in 2024 reaffirmed the leadership of Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, and Celsia in sustainability by awarding them outstanding scores exceeding 82 out of 100.
• Jorge Mario Velásquez, President of Grupo Argos, was recently recognized among the 500 most influential people in Latin America as one of the leaders with the greatest influence and potential to continue positioning Colombia as a global epicenter for business, culture, art, and technology.
• In 2024, and for the second consecutive year, Grupo Argos stood out among the 1,000 best companies worldwide, according to Time magazine and Statista, in the ranking The World’s Best Companies. About the Measurement

The Change Makers ranking is the first Big Data-based ranking conducted by the Argentine firm Horse, which analyzes millions of data points from media coverage and digital conversations across the Americas and Spain to evaluate the performance of companies and sectors in multiple geographies.

This assessment is based on an exhaustive data analysis across three dimensions: (i) media coverage (over 15 million journalistic articles processed); (ii) digital activity (3.1 million interactions on social media and 100,000 posts on platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter); and (iii) CEO positioning (measuring the level of influence and prominence of leaders in public and business conversations). In total, more than 1,000 companies and executives were evaluated.
