Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos and Celsia receive the highest distinctions in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook
1 February 2022- In this edition, Grupo Argos and Cementos Argos were highlighted for the ninth consecutive year in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, each receiving the gold seal, while Celsia was consolidated with the bronze seal.
- The companies of Grupo Empresarial Argos stood out for their initiatives on fronts such as corporate governance, risks related to water and human rights.
- The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is a global reference index for investors and governments that measures the performance of the largest companies by market capitalization in economic, environmental and social matters. By 2022, the Yearbook evaluated more than 7,500 companies.
Grupo Argos and its companies Cementos Argos and Celsia received the highest distinctions in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, a global reference index that measures the economic, environmental and social performance of more than 7,500 companies in the world and which this year included 716 among the best for its transparent and comprehensive management of sustainability. In this measurement Grupo Argos and Cementos Argos were each consolidated with the gold seal, the highest distinction of the Yearbook. For its part, Celsia achieved the bronze seal.

With more than 7,000 companies evaluated, their inclusion in the yearbook is a true statement of excellence in corporate sustainability,” said Manjit Jus, Global Manager of ESG Research, S&P Global.
Among the companies evaluated, 17 Colombians stood out, three of them from Grupo Empresarial Argos. This recognition strengthens the confidence of international stakeholders and investors in those companies that work to generate long-term value by bringing together the companies with the best sustainable performance at a global level.
Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos and Celsia: benchmarks in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
In the most recent edition of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Grupo Argos ranked first worldwide in its industry in the Global, Emerging Markets and Latin American Integrated Market, MILA, indices, thanks to the leadership in the management of ESG criteria in its companies in terms of climate change, corporate governance and social transformation. This achievement represents a guarantee seal for investors, clients, collaborators and all stakeholders, increasingly aligned with sustainable products, services and processes.
