The magazine Semana and Grupo Argos delivered last night in Medellín the awards of the XII edition of the Regional Journalism Award, to exalt the work of regional journalists who dedicate their lives to telling the stories of the regions and who, with their work, contribute to the construction and transformation of the country.
John Otis, Néstor Morales, Martha Ortíz, Nora Sanín, Héctor Rincón, Álvaro Sierra and Cristina Castro were the juries in charge of choosing the winners.
The awards given were for: Jorge Eliécer Orozco, as the best photography; Magangué Estéreo radio station, best radio report; Agenda Propia – Bogotá Indígena, best written report; Community radio station Contacto Estéreo 99.4 FM, Amparo Díaz award for the best community media and Alfonso Luna Geller, the Orlando Sierra prize for journalistic courage.
