- This is the second time that TIME magazine, in partnership with Statista, has conducted this measurement, highlighting companies’ global capabilities to generate value.
- The criteria evaluated include employee satisfaction, as well as positive references from more than 170,000 workers from companies in 50 countries, and the leadership of companies in sustainability actions focused on reducing emissions and increasing female representation on their boards of directors.
- Grupo Argos is one of three Colombian companies included in the ranking, which features 1,000 organizations worldwide.
The American magazine TIME and Statista presented the results of the latest edition of the The World’s Best Companies ranking, which recognizes the 1,000 best companies globally across three dimensions: employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability initiatives. For the second consecutive year, Grupo Argos stood out in this ranking, achieving a score above 80 points, excelling in the assessment based on an extensive data collection process and surveys conducted with more than 170,000 employees from companies in 50 countries.
This distinction acknowledges the strong sense of belonging of the more than 11,500 employees of Grupo Empresarial Argos, the solid financial performance of its businesses in recent years, and its commitment to mitigating the effects of climate change through a major strategy aimed at reducing emissions by 46% by 2030. It also recognizes the company’s efforts to increase the participation of women in leadership roles, highlighted by its board of directors, which includes four women, including its chairwoman.
This is the second time that TIME and Statista have conducted this measurement. To create this list, the authors developed a methodology that evaluates more than 70 million companies worldwide and recognizes those with the best performance in three areas:
- Employee satisfaction, based on surveys of more than 170,000 people who rated companies on their reputation, work environment, working conditions, and wage equality.
- Revenue growth over the last three years. For this indicator, the companies evaluated must report at least USD 100 million in revenue in 2023 and have positive revenue growth from 2021 to 2023.
- Performance on environmental, social, and corporate governance issues.
Grupo Argos’ presence in this index reaffirms its leadership in Colombia and the continent as a key player in the infrastructure sector, recognizing its ability to attract global capital to develop projects that generate well-being and respond to the challenges of global growth.
