Among the best places to work in Colombia: this is how Merco Talento rated the companies of Grupo Empresarial Argos

  • Grupo Argos was named for the fifth consecutive year as the top conglomerate with the greatest capacity to attract and retain talent. In the overall ranking, it secured the 25th spot.
  • Cementos Argos maintained its historical first place in its sector, ranking 19th overall and strengthening its position as a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
  • Celsia was included in the 24th spot, standing out due to a cultural transformation process that has enabled it to innovate and offer new products and services to its customers. Additionally, its talent team was recognized among the top ten in the country.
  • These results reaffirm the talent strategy of Grupo Empresarial Argos, which includes a robust portfolio of benefits such as scholarships and financial sponsorships for higher education, growth, development, and internal mobility programs, as well as its diversity, equity, and inclusion program that accounted for more than 12,200 hours of training in the past year alone.

Grupo Empresarial Argos once again positioned itself as one of the most attractive organizations to work for in Colombia, following the latest Merco Talento ranking. In this edition, Grupo Argos climbed 26 places in the overall ranking and secured the first place for the fifth consecutive year among business conglomerates with the greatest capacity to attract and retain talent. Cementos Argos and Celsia were highlighted in the 19th and 24th positions, respectively, reaffirming their leadership in the country within their industries, in dimensions such as labor quality, employer brand, and internal reputation.

The talent strategy of Grupo Empresarial Argos is based on creating work environments founded on respect and identifying the needs of its employees to offer programs that enhance their professional growth and development. Some examples are:

  • A portfolio of benefits such as scholarships and financial sponsorships for higher education, allowing employees to pursue specializations, master’s degrees, and doctorates. To date, nearly 200 employees from Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, Odinsa, and Summa have benefited from these programs.
  • Grupo Empresarial Argos is a source of professional development and growth. An example of this is that during the last year, 16% of the total talent experienced internal mobility, which includes movements between companies within Grupo Empresarial Argos and promotions. Notably, over 600 employees were promoted in their roles during this period.
  • Through its diversity, equity, and inclusion program, the organization dedicated more than 12,200 hours of training on topics such as unconscious biases, sexual and socioeconomic diversity, psychological safety, and conscious masculinities, among others.
